In my spare time, I have been working with a family friend to prepare designs for an historic Second World War Radar Station in the North East of Scotland. The design brief is to convert the Radar Station into a 3 bedroom home with open plan kitchen/ living/ dining space which makes the most of fantastic view of the North Sea.
The project is currently at pre-planning stage. The design aims to retain the character of the existing building through the use of sensitive material selections and a subservient extension to the Radar Station. This project has given me the opportunity to keep my smaller scale design skills well practised, and shows my ability to run a project without external input.
